Red Sea Goatfish

Parupeneus forsskali

Black horizontal stripe and black spot on the tail stalk.

Size : 28 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and protected out reefs, 1-30 m. Common. Not shy. Searches in sand and rubble for small invertebrates during the day. Is often accompanied by other fish.

Distribution : Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
