Yellowtail Fusilier

Caesio cuning

Usually high-backed for its genus. Greenish-blue with blue face markings. Yellow swallowtail.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : Prefers steep out reefs and patch reefs, 3-30 m. In schools in open water, sometimes immediately above the reef. Also in murky water. Can often be observed at cleaner stations. Not shy.

Distribution : Sri Lanka, Andaman Sea to SW Japan, Palau, GBR and Vanuatu.
