Pterocaesio marri

Narrow yellow horizontal stripe along the lateral line and a second stripe higher on the back.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and out reefs, 5-30 m. Forms large shoals in open water in front of the reef and feeds on zooplankton.

Distribution : East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia and French Polynesia.
