Scissor-tailed Fusilier

Caesio caerulaurea

A yellow horizontal stripe from the head to the tail. Tail is forked, with a black stripe on both fins.

Size : 35 cm

Habitat : At outer reef slopes and patch reefs, 3-30 m. In schools in open water for feeding on plankton.

Distribution : Red Sea (rarely) and East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia, GBR and Samoa.
