Can adapt colouration to the bottom surface. Typically with V-shaped marking in the middle of the side but not always easily discernible.

Habitat : In protected reefs, bays and seagrass fields, 1-20 m. Usually alone.
Distribution : East Africa to SW Japan, Fiji and Tonga.
