Lethrinus xanthochilus

Pale colouration. Yellow upper lip, yellow to red spot on the base of pectoral fins.

Size : 60 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and out reefs. 3-50 m. Usually above mixed sand, rubble and coral zones near a reef. Alone or in small groups. Feeds on hard-shelled invertebrates and fish.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia and French Polynesia.
