Pristiapogon exostigma

Dark horizontal stripe narrowing towards the back. A black spot on the tail root somewhat above the midline.

Size : 11 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and outreefs, 2-20 m. Inactive at coral heads, overhangs or crevices during the day. At night usually hunts zooplankton over sandy soil.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Line Islands, Samoa and French Polynesia.
