Black eye mask, white headband, black spot on the tail base.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and out reefs, frequently ant exposed reef slopes, 1-30 m. Usually in pairs, also in larger, static formations during the day. Feeds on coral polyps, algae, small invertebrates, and also plucks tentacles from tube worms.

Distribution : East Africa to SW Japan, Hawaii, Galapagos and Ducie Islands.
