Ocellate Butterflyfish

Parachaetodon ocellatus

Five dark to orange-brown vertical markings and a spot above at the penultimate marking.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : Prefers protected, also silted coastal reefs. 5-50 m. Alone or in pairs, Adults occasionally also in groups.

Distribution : India, Sri Lanka to SW Japan, the Philippines, Fiji and E Australia.
