Lattice Butterflyfish

Chaetodon rafflesii

Yellow with net pattern of grey lines, blue brow.

Size : 15 cm

Habitat : Predominantly in coral-rich regions of lagoons, protected interiors and out reefs, 2-15 m. Uncommon, ranges sometimes alone, often impairs through the reef and feeds in part on bristleworms and anemones, also the polyps of stony and soft coral.

Distribution : Sri Lanka to S Japan, New Guinea and French Polynesia.
