Elongated blue side spot. Eyespot on tail root.

Size : 15 cm

Habitat : Shallow lagoons, coastal and out reefs, 2-15 m. Predominantly feeds on polyps of Acropora coral, occasionally also picks parasites from the skin of other fish. Usually in pairs. Juveniles between branched coral.

Distribution : Andaman Sea to SW Japan, Palau, New Guinea, Fiji and Tonga.
