Thornback Cowfish

Lactoria fornasini

A pair of shorter horns both at the brow and at the lower body ends, a backwards-curved spike on the middle back.

Size : 15 cm

Habitat : Lives on sand rubble grounds and in zones with algae growth, 3-30 m. Usually alone, typically swims very close to the seabed.

Distribution : East Africa to S Japan, Hawaii and French Polynesia.
