Three black horizontal stripes. Head yellowish. A row of black patches on the dorsal fin from a broken band. Black dots on the tail.

Habitat : Inhabits protected reef slopes and lagoons, 1-25 m. Can be observed fairly frequently. Not shy.
Distribution : Indonesia to SW Japan, Solomons and GBR.
