Brown Pygmy Angelfish

Centropyge multispinis

Dark brown. Fine, dark vertical stripes. Anal and ventral fin with pale blue edge.

Size : 10-14 cm

Habitat : In lagoons and protected out reefs, above coral and rubble, 1-30 m. Has small hunting grounds in which it grazes on blanket-weed algae. Shy, quickly flees to hiding places.

Distribution : Red Sea, S Oman and East Africa to Mauritius, the Maldives and Andaman Sea.
