Description

Leptopoma perlucidum is a land snail that has gills and an operculum, which belongs to the Family Cyclophoridae. The shell shape is varies from discoidal to turbinate. The operculum is generally circular in shape, which can be pulled deep into the shell. They are multispiral in shape and may be calcified or lack a calcareous layer. The outer layer of the operculum may contain accessory deposits. The head of the soft body ends with a short trunk. The tentacles are round, relatively long with a tapered tip. The eyes are located at the base of the antennae on flat papillae. Longitudinal muscle legs are not divided. The mantle cavity functions as a lung cavity.
