Description

The Rough-scaled Sun Skink is a small, broad-scaled species of lizard. In Bali, this lizard is brown in the midsection. Orange or reddish color on the upper body, on the head similar to copper. Individuals have a light striped pattern starting at the corner of the eye over the shoulder, above and below it is bordered by a black stripe, but also without a pattern. There were black and white patches on his back and sides. Sometimes there are other, less obvious stripes along the back or black spots larger than the body.

Distribution

Can be found in lowland rain forests, open margins, monsoon forests are usually found in humid areas such as river valleys. Living in areas as high as sea level up to about 100 m above sea level. In other areas live up to an altitude of 1200 m above sea level.
