Crytoblepharus renschi

Description

Cryptoblepharus renschi is small, slether and rather broad. The head is medium in size with a compressed snout, large eyes, lower eyelid fused to the rudimentary upper eyelid that surrounded by granular scales. The limbs are relatively short. The back is black with 5 pale longitudinal lines (cream, whitish or yellowish) that are arranged parallel along the body. The vertebral line extends from the snout to the base of the tail, the line on the upper side of the body extending from the top of the eye to the tail, and the underside of the body from the lip to the back limbs. The legs are dark with pale spots, the tail is bue-grey with speckled.

Cryptoblepharus renschi lives in monsoon forests and savanna, can be found also in gardens. In Bali can be found in gardens and monsoon forests in East Karangasem and Nusa Lembongan, at an altitude of up to about 100 m above sea level.
