Cryptoblepharus cursor

Description

Cryptoblepharus cursor is small, slether and rather broad. The head is medium in size with a compressed snout, large eyes, lower eyelid fused to the rudimentary upper eyelid that surrounded by granular scales. The limbs are relatively long. The back is brown with a yellowish brown stripe from above the eyes along the sides of the body to the hind legs. Prominent and wider cream-colored dorsolateral stripe, darker lateral sides specked with whitish spots, pale mid-lateral stripe extends from lip to back limbs, pattern faded on latter part of body. The head and tail are silvery brown.

Cryptoblepharus cursor is active in the morning, evening or on cloudy days, very active at dawn and dusk. These species bask and forage above the tide line, while they are also seen moving in the littoral zone among debris on the beach.
