Description

Draco volans is small, has a fly membrane that is supported by six ribs, and its nostrils are located on the side. In the male species there is a short mane on the nape of the neck. The upper body is particularly gray or brown, with stripes that are darker in color and sometimes form a faint stripe on the legs and tail. In Bali, black spots on the back of the head, neck and along the back are common in Draco volans. The belly is slightly white, the upper part of the laying membrane is a combination of yellow, orange, red, blue, green, gray, brown or black, no smudging, spotty, striped or striped. The underside of the laying membrane shows a similar variation, but is usually lighter in color. In Bali, the upper part of the laying membrane is usually gray with stripes or grayish brown with black patches near the outer edges, and the lower part of the membrane is slightly white or light gray, there are also dark spots near the tips. the outside. Dewlap in species in Bali is yellow in the male and light blue-gray on the female.
