Description

Nyctemera coleta has black wings with white patches. The male has a large tuft of hair arising from the base of the tibia of the forefoot. It has three lower points of the post-medial band of the forewings which separate and have another point below them towards the outer corner. Cilia are white below the apex and at the outer corner. The hind wings have white cilia.
