Creatonotos transiens

Description

Creatonotos transiens has a white head and chest with hairy tegulae. It has a pair of ciliated antennae. The upper surface of the abdomen is orange while the underside is white with a series of black spots. The forewings are narrow, very pale, the ribs and base of the inner margins are whitish with black spots inside and just outside each corner of the cell. The hind wings are pale with a black submarginal spot over veins 5 and two towards the anal angle.
