Description

Brachydiplax chalybea has small body size. The male thorax is blue with brown patch. The abdomen is also blue, the last three segments is darker. The base of the wing is dark yellow. The female has the same size but it is more orange and has dark band along the dorsal of the abdomen. The base of the wing is clear.
