Description

Vestalis luctuosa has two big eyes, clearly visible on both sides of the head. The feet are long and slim, black in male and bright brown in female. The head, thorax, and abdomen of the males are blue metallic purple in color. The wings are transparent with combination of brown or dark purple metallic, with bright color on the base of the wing. Female’s head and thorax are metallic green, while the abdomen is brown. The wings are transparent with bright brown in color.
