Description

Valanga nigricornis has sexual dimorphism between male and female, which females are larger in size and paler in color than the males. The male length is about 49-63 mm while the female is about 58-71mm. The head is square and green or yellow or brown in color, it has a pair of black antennas, the eyes are large and gray or white or brownish. The hind legs are large and longer than the forelegs, green or yellow or brown in color. The wings have a length exceeding the belly, has brown or green or yellow rough surface. The hindwings are rose red and visible when flying.
