Elymnias panthera

Description

Elymnias panthera has serrated wings, the upper side of the wings is dark brown, the hindwings have a pale submarginal band. The undersides of the wings are reddish brown in color with a series of white submarginal spots with a black crown in spaces 1b, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Larva: larvae of Elymnias panthera are cylindrical, pale white in color, the capsule of the head is large, dark brown to black, the body is covered with setae with droplets at the ends. In the next phase the caterpillars are green with yellow longitudinal bands.

Pupa: Elymnias panthera pupae are green with reddish-yellow stripes on the back of the thorax, dorso-lateral and lateral abdomen. The pupa has a pair of short cephalic horns and a raised dorsum of the chest.
