Notocrypta curvifascia has forewings with a short white band in the center, the basic color is dark black. The undersides of the forewings are dark black with a white or yellowish stripe on cells 10 and 11 between the apical and costa spots. The hindwings are marked purple-gray. Long antennae, rounded hindwings and hairy thorax.
