Description

Symbrenthia lilaea has black upper wings with yellow-orange markings, forewings with discoid streaks, short ribbons, preapical bands with two small dots on them. The hind wings have a broad and narrow narrow sub-basal transverse band at the edge of the ribs, crossed by a line of black spots. The underside of the wing is orange with many spots and stripes like iron. The antenna is black, the chest and stomach are black on the upper side, the underside is bright yellow.

Larva: Symbrenthia lilaea larvae are cylindrical with a black head, flattened at the front, downy, there are two rows of pale sublateral small spots.

Pupa: Symbrenthia lilaea pupae are pale in color, chest and abdomen protrude to the side, pointed protrusion on the chest, abdominal segment with a row of small dots on the back and lateral.
