Description

Male remelana jangala has dark purple upperwings with a wide black outline, female is paler with the base color of the forewings entirely purple. The undersides of the wings are dark brown with dark post-discal stripes on both wings. On the hindwings there are 2 black tornal spots with a metallic green crown and 2 tails on veins 1b and 2.
