Mycalesis perseoides

Description

Mycalesis perseoides has brown wings on the upper side and blackish brown on the underside. The upper side has a large yellow ringed ocellus in space 2 and a small ocellus at the apex of the forewing, while the underside of the wing has a series of marginal ocellus with a white stripe dividing the tornal and post-discal sections. Male butterflies have reddish brown sex markings on the underside of the forewings.
