Description

Papilio ulysses has black upper wings with electric blue on the base to the middle, the underside is black and brown. The female butterfly has a slightly crescent-shaped stripe on the back. The tail on the back of the wing is black and long.

Larva: Papilio ulysses larvae at instar stage 1 have a yellowish green body with black markings on the chest and behind the abdomen. This caterpillar has a pair of soft spines on each segment. At the 5th instar stage, it only leaves a pair of white spines on its tail, its body color is dark green with two pairs of white spots on its back. Live in pairs or groups.
