Kaniska canace has forewings dark blue-black, crossed by a wide postdiscal blue band and a series of small black spots on the hind wings. The underside of the underside is marked with brown, black and gray markings, there are small cream colored spots on the tops of the cells of both wings and along the dorsal near the forewings. The edges of the wings are serrated.
Larva: Kaniska canace larvae are white with orange bands, black spots on the orange segment and black stripes on the white segments, there are 7 white spines, branched and black tipped in each orange segment.
Pupa: Kaniska canace pupae are reddish brown in color with gold and silver spots.
