Description

Lethe europa has brown upperwings, female individuals have wider subapical bands than males. The underside has a number of faint patterns with a thick purple ocellus on the forewings, a short tail on the veins of 4 hindwings.

Larva: Lethe europa larvae are green in color, on the head there is one short erect horn.

Pupa: Lethe europa pupa is pale green, firm and smooth.
