Description

Pycanum alternatum is a homonym of Pycanum rubens which is a member of the family Tessaratomidae. The body is ovoid to elongated, the head is triangular with black antennae consisting of 4 to 5 segments. The scutellum is triangular and does not cover the center of the rough forewings but is often partially covered by the prothorax.
