Flower Longhorn Beetles

Schmidtiana javanica is a type of long-horned beetle that belongs to the family Cerambycidae. This beetle has an elongated body with two-colored elytra where the basal is orange red while the apical is black. The antennae are long, red-orange in color with 4 black tip segments. The larvae of this beetle can usually cause damage to logs or wood that has been cut because they are able to drill into wood.
