Description

Cosmopolites sordidus has grayish black or dak brown appearance covered by wax. The males are smaller in size than the females. All tibiae are armed with hook like extensions which enable the beetle to hold onto plant tissue. The larvae length is about 20 mm, white in colored while the capsula is reddish brown.
