Description

Ardea purpurea is a large bird species that is 95 cm. Gray in color. The sides of the head and neck are yellowish brown, with dark stripes and stripes on both sides of the neck. The iris is yellow, and the feet are reddish brown. Other feathers on this bird are reddish brown. The beak is long, straight and strong, brownish yellow and will be lighter in color during breeding.
