Habits and Lifestyle

Zosterops palpebrosus lives in groups, these birds often form large groups that fly between the canopy of trees, often even mixing with other species such as the genus Pericrocotus. This bird looks for prey through the leaves, moves from one branch to another, and moves to another nearby tree, making high-pitched sounds every few moments to communicate with other members of the group.

Mating Habits

In Java, Zosterops palpebrosus lay eggs from January to October. Eggs of 2-5 are pale blue in color, the nests are in the form of small cups that are distinctively shaped, made of roots, stalks and leaf bones, and other plant materials, and decorated with moss. The nests are placed in a branch of a bamboo branch or clump, about 2–4 m above the ground.
