Description

Male Accipiter gularis upper body dark gray. The tail is gray with some dark circular stripes. The chest and belly are pale rust red with a very thin black stripe down the center of the chin, the eyes are red. Females brown upper body, yellow eyes, underparts without rust color and dark brown stripes. Juvenile upper brown and stripes on chest.
