Description

Dendrocopos macei has black and white, striped colors. White face, black stripe and collar. Upper body black and white stripes. Lower body dark yellow with black streaks. The tail cover is black. The crown is red in males and black in females. Slice brown, upper beak bluish-black, lower beak bluish-gray, legs olive-colored.
