Description

Species in the family Sturnidae, have a small body (18 cm). Male bird: Shiny black back with purple sheen. Glossy black-green wings with white wing stripes. The head and chest are gray. Black spot on neck. white belly. Female bird: Upper body charred gray. Brown spots on the nape of the neck. Black wings and tail. Iris brown, bill black, legs green.
