Prionochilus percussus

Description

Prionochilus percussus is a very small bird about 10 cm, and belongs to the Dicaeidae family, which has a rather large beak and striking color. The male individual has a blue upper coat with a black forehead and a dark red crown, a yellow underside with a dark red chest, a white mustache, and a blue tail. Whereas female individuals: the upper part is olive green with a dull orange crown, the bottom is grayish green with a gray throat, yellow chest and a faint white mustache.
