Description

This species is light brown in color with dark brown fur on its back. His face was paler and his eyebrows were light brown. With an adult size of 40 to 48 cm and a weight of 1,028 to 2,100 grams and is the smallest type of fish of the owl. have ear tufts protruding on the sides of the head. The wings and tail feathers are broad-stemmed and yellowish and dark brown. The underside is yellowish brown, rich in buff or fulvous with a broad blackish stem line. no leg hair.

Distribution

Mating Habits

Eggs are found from February to April in western Java, and in Peninsular Malaysia also from September to January. Buffy owls often nest on large ferns (Asplenium nidus), but nests have also been noted in tall branches covered by ferns and mosses, in orchid beds and in tree hollows. Only one egg. The eggs are round, oval and dull white in color. Egg incubation lasts 28 to 29 days and hatches after six weeks.
