Description

The Turnix suscitator has a reddish-brown upper body with brown spots and a rust-red underbody. The irises are brown, the beak and feet are yellow. Male, crown mottled brown and white, on the chest and sides of the body there are black stripes. Females are larger in body size, crown black with gray and white spots on the head, chin and black throat.
