Kaloula baleata

Description

Kaloula baleata has a small to medium sized body with short limbs. The head is wide, short snout, tympanum hidden under the skin. The back is brown, golden brown, blackish brown or dark gray sometimes with symmetrical patterns. There are bright orange, red or pink spots in the armpits of the front and back limbs which are normally not visible because covered by skin folds. The underside of the body is smooth, purplish-brown with whitish patches, or vice versa, gray-white with dark-black spots. Nodule skin smooth but soft, not rough when touched, slightly wrinkled and sagging.
