Mating Habits

During the breeding season, many males (congregate near ponds, ditches or other bodies of water. These male frogs climb low bushes or small trees near puddles, to a height of 1 m or more above the ground, and make calls to lure female frogs. If they meet a mate, this frog then moves to find the position of leaves or twigs hanging above the water to attach their eggs. The eggs are laid in a foam nest/ These foam bubbles will protect the eggs from drying out, until it’s time to hatch and the tadpole came out and fell into the water.
