Bay of Bengal Hogfish

Bodianus neilli

The front of body is pale reddish-brown, and towards the rear it becomes gradually brighter to while. Elongated red to red-black spot on the dorsal and anal fin.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and shallow coastal reefs, also likes areas with murky water and low coral growth, 2-15 m. Loner, combs the seabed for small animals.

Distribution : The Maldives, Sri Lanka and Andaman Sea.
