Pempheris vanicolensis

Tip of the dorsal fin is dark. Tail and anal fins with black fringe.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : In lagoons, bays and protected out reefs, 2-40 m. During the day, in groups usually below overhangs and in caves. At night, goes alone is search of food, feeds on plankton and small fish.

Distribution : Red Sea and Gulf of Oman to Mozambique, the Philippines and Samoa.
