Body yellowish-brown, becoming dark toward the back with an almost black caudal fin. While tail blade.

Size : 20 cm

Habitat : In coral-rich lagoons and outreefs, 2-50 m. Alone or in groups. Spwning usually takes place in groups.

Distribution : East Africa and Oman to SW Japan, the Philippines, Micronesia, Indonesia, GBR and French Polynesia.
