Pink-margined Parrotfish

Chlorurus capistratoides

Terminal-Phase: (male) with green stripes around eye, yellow spot on the pectoral fin base and long tail filaments. Juveniles and Initial-Phase (female) dark grey with pink tail and snout.

Size : 55 cm

Habitat : Prefers upper areas of coral-rich reef slopes, even in surf regions.

Distribution : East Africa to Seychelles, Andaman Sea, Bali and Flores.
