Solenostomus paradoxus

“Prikly” skin appendages. Colouration depending on environment, e.g. white, red, pink, black. Always with white, red or yellow markings.

Size : 11 cm

Habitat : In rock and coral reefs, 3-30 m. Often protected by feather stars, also on horn coral, Soft Coral and Black Coral. Usually in pairs, less often in small groups.

Distribution : Red Sea (rarely) and East Africa to S Japan, Marshall Islands, SE Australia and Fiji.
